My wife, Kristine suggested I write a blog about my daily experiences with Evan, our 6 month old bundle of joy. I've decided to give this a shot and see how long I can keep it going. Bear with me and I'm sorry if I bore you along the way.....
Last week was quite tumultuous to say the least. Evan caught a bad flu bug that ran a fever in excess of 104.7 degrees.....3X!!! Kristine and I flipped out and went from urgent care to the emergency room to the pediatrician and even dialing 911. We ended up being admitted for fear of H1N1 and was released 2 days later. No need to worry...we're all ok and not contagious.
It's Monday, week 2 of unemployment. My only salvation is being able to spend quality time with Evan. My boy is keeping me on my toes while I try to keep it all together. He started our day by letting mommy and I sleep till 6am, which is quite a special treat. All you parents out there know exactly what I'm talking about.
And so here it goes.....
6am: Evan chowed down his morning milk and only managed to spit up on just my shirt....and not my face!
10am: Cereal.....before it goes into Evan's mouth, it goes on his head...his face.....my face....and my somewhere on my body. A picture speaks a thousand words...so stay tuned, I'll load one up soon.
1:45p: More cereal....another trip to the bathtub afterward to wash up! Evan eats.....Evan cries....Evan sleeps
5pm: Where's Mommy??? Teething keeps Evan awake....and pissed off!!! Evan cries....and cries....and cries some more! Poor little dude...I wish Daddy can make the pain go away...but there's only so much orajel can do.
6:45p: Finally..Mommy's home from work. I cook...I clean...I drink beer! See you next time!
